Meet Ace!
Ace first came to WCAS as a stray in November 2023 and was quickly reunited with his owner. Nearly three years later, he found himself back at the shelter after once again arriving as a stray. This time, however, no one came to reclaim him. While his past may have had a few unexpected turns, Ace is looking forward to a brighter future with a family that will make a lifelong commitment to him.
While in our care, Ace participated in a dog introduction with another shelter dog, Prince. The two quickly became fast friends, happily playing and wrestling together around the yard on dropped leashes. Throughout their interaction, staff observed no signs of aggression or discomfort, highlighting Ace's friendly, social nature and his ability to enjoy appropriate play with another dog. If there is already a canine companion in the home, we recommend a meet-and-greet to ensure everyone is a good fit.
At 5 years old, Ace has reached a wonderful stage of life-he's left the puppy antics behind but still has plenty of energy for walks, playtime, and new adventures. At 52 pounds, he's a great size for families looking for a medium-sized companion who enjoys both activity and downtime.
Ace has already experienced what it's like to be lost, and now he's hoping to find a family that will make sure he never has to wonder where home is again.
