Meet Bitsy!
Bitsy is a 4-year-old girl weighing 60 pounds who is ready to find a family to call her own. She came to Winnebago County Animal Services as a stray and, unfortunately, was never reclaimed.
Bitsy has had the opportunity to meet another dog while she's been with us. During her intro with Marigold, Bitsy was initially calm and comfortable while Marigold showed lots of excitement from the other side of the fence. Once they were brought into the same yard, both dogs were a little stiff while taking time to sniff and check each other out. After they finished their initial introductions, Marigold was interested in playing with Bitsy. Bitsy would engage in some play but would also choose to walk away when she was ready for a break. At one point, Bitsy approached Marigold closely, and Marigold gave a warning bark before immediately returning to play mode. Because Marigold's play style was a bit more energetic than Bitsy preferred, staff kept both dogs on leash throughout the interaction.
