This pet is available for pre-select adoption!
Some of the pets listed for adoption at Animal Services are still on their stray hold. That means their original owner still has time to reclaim them. Many pets are not reclaimed so we start looking for a good home right away, just in case an owner doesn't come forward. Pets on stray hold may be pre-selected for adoption with an approved application and by paying the full adoption fee. If the owner does not reclaim the pet, then it will be altered and go home right away after the stray hold is over.
Winnebago County Animal Services only takes one pre-select hold per pet. If a pet is reclaimed by an owner after you have paid for a pre-select adoption your payment will be refunded.
